Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello everyone,
I have a 20111 Chevy Impala lt front wheel
drive. I was driving about 80 mph on the
highway and started to hear a sound from
my front passenger tire area like I had a
flat. I pulled over and inspected it and all
seemed well. After less than a mile I hear
same sound and decides to pull over and
change my tire. So as I get maybe a block
from home and stop at a stop sign. My
front passenger wheel freezes up. I put car
in park and turn off then restart no problem
no check engine lights everything seems
fine, so I put in drive again and still a no
go, I can feel when I hit the gas the car is
trying to move but something is not letting
it, like the emergency brake is set or
something. I put in reverse and it's the
same problem. I put in drive again it still
tries to move and if I give it more gas it's
starts to move but sounds like metal is
breaking or something is breaking. I turn
off car and put in neautral to just push it
home I'm already on my block. It does not
move even in neautral. Any one knows
what could this be, breaks seam fine.

i'm not sure...needs professional advisement. it could point to the half shaft ball bearings seizing. how many miles on the car??

sounds like your caliper seized up on you , how do the rotors look ? Are they worn thin ? Maybe the inner side is down to the fins . There's nothing to pull the caliper back once you hit the brake , it only relaxes , it's a good system but has to work under heating , cooling , moisture .
