where does the top passenger side radiator valve go to?

Asked by Brad Feb 09, 2015 at 06:54 PM about the 2011 Subaru Forester 2.5 X Premium

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got home last night and smoke rolling from hood, and when i opened the hood i saw a valve on the passenger side top of radiator that did not have a hose. I looked for an hour trying to locate where the hose was and where it connected. Couldn't find it. No parts store knew. Is it a pressure cap or does a hose go to it? Thank you for any advise

It's probably the hose that goes to the plastic radiator reserve jug. Find the radiator jug. There should be a hose coming out of it. That's probably the hose that fell off of your radiator.

Same problem no hose just rubber valve on plastic stem found mine in motor blew off dry rot Subaru dealer had in stock had to explain to parts guy took pick with phone helps.
