Head gasket

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Not too long ago a new head gasket was put on
my vehicle. It road fine for a couple weeks and all
the sudden hoses that hold coolant starting
breaking. First my heater hoses then another and
then back to the first heater hose that busted.
Could the person have put my head gasket on
wrong or maybe lied about it being new?

I suspect a leaking head gasket which over pressurized the system.

Should I just get another motor and call it a day since I'm not sure what could have been messed up because of that inside the motor?

First have the system pressure tested. Hopefully your mechanic guarantees his work.

My new one does. I'm not sure If I trust the other one that worked on the car before I bought it which is the one that did the head gasket he said take it to him but I'm worried he doesnt know what he is doing now. but its bought as is. My new mechanic suggested that another motor would 100% fix my problem. And he would warranty the motor and his work.

Also could it of been too late when they did the new head gasket and that's why this one is already leaking?
