When im driving my 2004 ford escape and going over 40 mph the car will jerk to the left or the right every time I hit or let off accelerator. Its a very extreme pull. Any ideas?

Can't tell what it is from your information but it sounds like a safety issue. Take it to a mechanic and have them put it up on the rack to check for problems.
