Is your instrument gauge cluster working properly? Especially your speedo and tach?
No, They would make noise. They would have to be practically seized to make the transmission jerk. When you say jerking, do you mean that it revs up then slams into gear, like it's low on fluid? Or do you mean that it jerks several times when engaging a gear like first for example?
slams into gear when i go from p to r or from p to d4, also launches forward when i come to a stop.
I would try to replace the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on the transmission first. If that doesn't cure it, you may have a bad shift solenoid. You will have to take it to a tranny shop.
What is the difference between the sensor in the front and the one in the back?
I replaced the vss and didnt change a thing
My car is doing the same thing I have a 1997 Honda Accord V6
