2001 accord automatic transmission jerks when put in gear and when i come to a stop. Already drained the fluid and put new hg atf. What could be the problem? What should i do next?

I just intalled it last week, got it from ebay,
my old transmission did the same then
went to not shifting, then to down shifting
like crazy

Is your instrument gauge cluster working properly? Especially your speedo and tach?

No, They would make noise. They would have to be practically seized to make the transmission jerk. When you say jerking, do you mean that it revs up then slams into gear, like it's low on fluid? Or do you mean that it jerks several times when engaging a gear like first for example?

slams into gear when i go from p to r or from p to d4, also launches forward when i come to a stop.

I would try to replace the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on the transmission first. If that doesn't cure it, you may have a bad shift solenoid. You will have to take it to a tranny shop.
