Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My orange wrench light has been coming on and
the car goes int a limp mode.  I have to pull over
and turn the car off, wait a few minutes then turn it
back on.  When I started in July it was just once a
month but now it is a couple times a day.  Today
the second time it happens the check engine light
came on.  Any ideas?   I’m at my whits end.

We have a 2011 Ford Edge Sports AWD that just started doing the same thing. We already cleaned the throttle body like many have suggested and 2 days later it did it again. So.... we did take it to the dealer and as predicted there are no codes. They said they had a few ideas (yeah I bet they do :( When we get it back, if the problem is fixed, I will be more than happy to share the solution.

I actually ended up taking it back to my dealership because I bought the extended warranty on it. They were able to determine that it was the electronic throttle body. They replaced the module and had it programmed to my car (apparently that’s something that has to be done to fix the issue completely) and *knock on wood* this seems to have fixed the issue.
