Thanks for the reply, but the 4WD indicator light has an ! after it. So it reads: 4WD! Any thoughts?

i have this problem just today (4WD!) after i had tires changed of all except the passenger back side, is this the cuase? how did you solve youe problem? thanx
Things that can trip the 4WD! light to come on. 1st:, if you notice that it comes on at exactly 1 mile, then I would say that it's a low tire, 2nd: A bad speed sensor. Mine was on all the time but I had been under the hood checking to see where to get my hand to change out the right turn signal & I noticed that the 3: **Grounding strap on the back side of the engine to the firewall was green, corroded looking, plus it is ripped 40% in half. At any rate I wiggled it & the next time I started the vehicle, I was driving with the light finally out**. It just now started tripping on at the 1 mile mark. I'm going to say since the right rear tire light is on, that must be the problem since by the time it takes to perform it's startup check list, it always goes that 1 mile exactly, before coming on. 4: On some Jeep Patriot's, the pink wire's that are wrapped together [4-wires looped] You need to remove the Panel on the drivers side front where the hood release goes through, and under that part of the jamb, one of the pinkish wires could be corroded in half. 5: The same with the plug that plugs into the bottom of the fuse block under the hood. The 10amp fuse is what will sometime be effected by a corroded wire that goes into the plug that powers that fuse. 6: I was told you have to run the factory size tire, P215/60r17, or you run the risk of tripping the 4WD! light which will continue until the proper size are back on your vehicle. These 6 listed, could be the issue with the Patriot, if the tires are all the same size- P215/60r17 & the other of the 6 are not the issue, then it's electrical or a mechanical part inside the 4WD system it's self. At first I was freaking out but calmed down because it wasn't low of oil, or lack of maintenance. It would just used to be on all the time.
Just to add to my answer above, #5: the 10amp Fuse is the ''4WD System Fuse''. So the wires under the Fuse Block that feed this #2 slot, sometimes have a wire that's corroded in half. Strange...
Would stalling out be a result of this 4WD! light being on?
