What is wrong with my Tundra

Asked by Tundraguy253 Mar 04, 2018 at 04:22 PM about the 2013 Toyota Tundra Grade CrewMax 5.7L 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when I accelerate or turn a corner the little yellow dash light comes on and
my truck loses power and the gas pedal becomes unresponsive. After I let off
the gas and wait a second the light goes out and then the truck takes off
again. I don’t know what the heck is going on. 2013 Tundra limited 5.7 4wd

I am guessing your truck is going into limp mode due to some sort of serious problem. Have the engine codes scanned.

I’m having very similar issues with a truck I just purchased! It’s only happens when I use the right turn signal, but the reverse light flashes with the signal and I loose power. I am new to Toyota’s so any help would be great! I will start checking all the wheel sensors and battery connections for loose or broken wires. Anything else I should know about this truck as far as future issues? It’s a 2012 Tacoma with the 2.7L and 137K miles.

There is a sensor apparently that gets thrown out of whack if you put a lift on your truck or bigger tires and wheels. There's some washer mod you can do to fix this apparently that's underneath the plastic parts by your shifter. I have a 3 inch lift bigger wheels and tires and when I go around a sharp turn every once in awhile off of Highway or something it beeps traction control thing goes off and my brakes start to like grind
