2014 Kia Soul doesn’t start

Asked by Guru61PBV Mar 24, 2020 at 01:24 PM about the 2014 Kia Soul Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2014 Kia Soul wouldn’t start next morning.  No problem  before.  Drive every
day.  Battery checked out fine after a 4 hr recharge.  What could be draining
the battery?  My professional mechanic couldn’t find anything wrong.

I have a 2013 Kia Soul-base model. After a complete regimen of testing the mechanic found a parasitic voltage drain, very slight but enough to kill the battery after a day or so. After eliminating items one by one it came down to the radio. Went to junkyard, bought same radio and put it in. Problem corrected. Its been two years now and no more problem.
