Why did my check engine light come on at the same time my AC quit blowing cold?
I have a 2014 Kia Sportage and I just bought it about 3
months ago. The dealership I bought it from recharged the
freeon for me because the air wasn't working at all to
begin with and I told them I would buy it if they recharge
the air for me. It has worked great up until today when I
was parked at work and all the sudden the check engine
light came on and then I noticed the air was room
temperature. I turned the car off and then back on and it
started blowing cold again for a few minutes but then
started blowing warm again. I began to drive and it started
blowing cold again but then when I left work tonight it was
blowing cold again and working fine, even while sitting
still. Granted it was way cooler outside once I left work,
compared to when I arrived earlier in the day. I don't know
if the temperature outside or the fact that I had my car
running for several hours straight already had anything to
do with it or not. I do know that I can't see how the freeon
could be out already and whatever the case may be I need
to fix it fast because I have an 11 month old and she can't
be in the car without air or she will burn up in this hot
summer sun, especially because my car is black with black
interior. Someone please Help! -
