Nissan altima 2015 model car got stuck in rain water,engine stopped working and now the garage advice to replace the engine;is that the only option?Please put your answers and opinions

After checking mechanic said there was water in 2 of the cylinder and he
removed and started the engine but now there is some sound coming from the
engine,so he advised replace the engine rather than repairing it.Please put your
answer
