Why are the tail lights and outside hatch light will sporadically stay on.

My wife 2016 Subaru Forester has started to have an issue with the tail lights and outside hatch light staying on sporadically.  Could this be a fuse problem?  There is no switch on the steering column to accidentally bump like the older models had.

re you certain that the hatch is fully closed? Even the smallest obstruction will prevent it from double-clicking into locked position.

I have a 2016 Kia soul that parking lights come on but only when dark and light switch in auto mode. No idea what it is
