My 2016 Kia Soul is
experiencing acceleration ,
engine failure and loss of
compression to brakes

When the engine dies the brakes loose the vacuum booster so braking will be a lot harder then normal. If you have no power it can be fuel delivery problem, restricted exhaust, sensor misreads, tired engine.
