lights flashing on gear slector

Light flashing on gear selector on start up,  After driving car very slow for a couple of minutes it goes out,   but seems to have a hard shift about 50 miles per hour,  Then it is fine,  manual rear change fluid with ctv fluid,  dip stick read dextron,  I use dextron,   read stick shows full,  Can you over fill?

fluid should be at the correct level and should not smell burnt , flashing light probably a bad connection or actual alert , . there may be codes you can pull
