My 95 civic is making a "stutter" when I shift and accelerate. What could it be?

My 95 civic started jerking when I accelerate. At first I noticed it when I shifted to 4th gear only, now it occurs when i shift anytime above 2nd gear. It not that violent like a stall out, but its definitly worrying me. Can anyone please suggest somthing I can look into, thanks

Possibly a fuel filter becoming clogged. It might be starving for fuel. When you try to accelerate it may not get enough fuel through the lines to the engine because of the clog. When you shift, you push the clutch in, the engine revs down, when it engages again it requires more fuel. Makes sense to me that its the fuel filter.
if it happens when u shift ur clutch is prolly shot, my civic was doin the same thing i replaced the clutch and its like night and day id check that out if i was u. Later, Aaron
I would also recommend checking your distributor. my civic had a problem similar to that which it was bogging out and misfiring when accelerating, I tried everything I could possibly think of...fuses, spark plugs+wires, fuel filter, TPS, idle air control, map sensors, loose grounds...lastly I found out that the brand new distributor I bought 4 months ago went bad.
Replace your distributor. It contains the TDC sensor which if it complete dies, your car will stall and won't turn on again if the wrong information is sent to the ECU by the Camshaft/Crankshaft sensor (TDC).
