Washer Pump

Asked by nyweb Feb 24, 2017 at 03:03 PM about the 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just got a new to me '99 Cherokee Sport. Washers don't work on the wipers.
Looks like the washer tank is buried in the fender. Before I try to blow out the
lines, is a bad washer pump common on these ? And how much of a job is it
getting to the tank.......any access with the LF tire off ?

Your Jeep is 18 years old so your washer pump could certainly be bad.

Just curious as to how much of a job it is getting that tank out of the fender.

Ok.....looks like YouTube answered my question. Looks like I pull the inner plastic fender well down and the pumps are right there !
