Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ihave a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport and when I turn the steering wheel there is a "catch"

Have you checked the fluid level in the power steering pump reservoir?

I'd check there isn't some sort of interference with the steering shaft/u-joint under the hood hitting the frame or other assemblies.
