key will not unlock door

I just bought a 2018 Outback and just wanted to make sure that my actual key (not key fob) would work to open or lock the door if I ever needed it too.  The manual shows turn the key toward the front to lock and toward the rear to unlock.  Nothing happens - what am I doing wrong???

I doubt you are doing anything wrong. Take it to your dealer!
