Neutral alarm
Asked by Samhande Jan 08, 2019 at 09:13 PM about the 2019 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium AWD
Question type: General
When entering a car wash, I place the car in neutral and stop the engine. This
sets off an alarm. The info area says to place the car in park, which is not a
good suggestion while in a car wash! The alarm continues until I place the car
in park to start the engine. Any suggestions on stopping the alarm?

Neutral or park would depend on the type of car wash.
No e-brake. Car must be able to roll in this particular car wash
I would leave the engine running or a try different type of car wash. You really should be using a touchless car wash on your new car!
Talked to Subaru service today. This is a known issue with no resolution for keyless systems. Unfortunately there are no touchless car washes in our town. An opportunity for f_o_r??
