2004 Nissan Xterra Key Fob Programming Issue
I bought my 2004 Nissan Xterra used and it did
not come with a key fob. I bought one on eBay and
successfully programmed it to my car via Youtube
video. That key fob has since broken and I have
attempted to program a new remote to my car
numerous times without success.
I can enter the programming mode where the
hazards flash a few times, but when I click a
button on the new remote, the car does not
respond with the hazards flashing once like it
should to continue programming. I have swapped
my key fob battery out and even bought several
key fobs to try in case the first one was bad from
stock. I get the same roadblock with each key fob
and can't get a single one to be read by the car
during programming.
I've scoured the internet but have not found the
same problem mentioned anywhere. I'm not sure
if maybe there's an issue with the receiver on the
car end? I've been using the same type of key fob
(attached pic) as the one I used to have that
worked. Please help! Would love to have a remote
again!
