2001 olds alero. put in a new fuel pump, filter and relay and get no fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Now what?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son 's car just quit in store parking lot.  I figured out it was not getting fuel
and put in a new relay, pump and filter.  Still no fuel to fuel rail.  Also
discovered that his key doesn't always want to turn.  Could this be a security
system problem or have i overlooked something.  I double checked my
connections on the pump when I put it in.

How are you checking the pressure at the rail, I thought there was no fitting on the 2001 Alero?

Turn the key on for 10 minutes the security light will stop flashing then the car will start. Just went through the same problem
