2000 alero olds v6
I just replaced the lower intake
manifold on a 3.4 v6,the car ran fine
just pissing coolant, after repairs the
rockers were hitting the lower intake
manifold from the inside, bending
push rods, the part number on the
lower intake match the correct
replacement part, I have no idea what
could have caused this, other than a
wrong L intake that is not correctly
machined on the inside causing 3
pushrods to break due to not being
able to fully extend. If this had
happened to you what would you do
next to ensure the repair? Could
something in the cylender like oil
caused this or just the lower intake
blocking the stroke of the pushrod?
Part number on lower intake is 615-
290 china021. I'm at a loss right now
with it, I don't know if I should get
pushrods and see if the manifold is
wrong or if there is something else
that caused this??
