You should make sure the air filter is good , the throttle body is clean ( throttle plate and bore are not "gunked up")
Make sure you have no vacume leaks in the upper intake plenum , and from the air flow meter to the throttle body .
An air flow meter that is faulty , or dirty will cause hesitation problems too.
A low flow EGR code normally means the flow sensor is faulty, or the lines from the EGR tube to flow sensor are plugged, or leaking. I kinda doubt the EGR would cause your problem. Usually a stuck closed EGR will not affect drivability, just emissions .
Astuck open EGR would cause very rough running and possibly stalling .
