why does my 1995 mustang start in any gear

Asked by spam Jan 14, 2015 at 07:30 AM about the 1995 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed the automatic transmission and computer and the neutral safety switch and yet my car still will start in any gear. Any ideas on what is going on?

You best tow that mare to the Ford dealer because it does not have a neutral safety switch. The switch that replaced them has a set up done by a technician. If you have safety concerns you should consult them for clarification using the oasis, and the schematics. They would not try to charge you for getting you safe unless you authorized some repair that was needed, or diagnosis exceeded the agreed upon amount.
