Cracked Air Intake Hose

If the air intake hose is cracked would that be the reason my car isnt starting? I just replaced my battery last August so it shouldnt be that. what else could be the reason my car wont start?

So if my 2007 Honda Pilot ran out of gas and the battery is fine why doesn't it again turn over the engine and completely start after it has been given fuel? What can I do, please let me know
