Changed Fuel Pump And It Is Getting Spark At The Plug So Why Wont It Start?...

I have a 88 grand am le 2.0 I just changed the fuel pump and it does make sound again but it will not start. If it is getting spark and fuel why will it not start? is there not enough fuel pressure?
