Check the battery terminals for corrosion, make sure it is grounding good, The Positive battery terminal may be shorting out on something. Grounds to frame/engine and block to frame need checked out. If you can hear the starter click when turning the key I thing the ignition switch is o.k. Sometimes when a positive short is going on you can use a voltmeter and find leaking volts. Put the meter to DC volts and the black lead to negative battery terminal and red lead to engine block and/or frame with key on and off to see if any volts show up if so then there is a positive short (losing power to ground). If the terminals are 1992 models they are due to have been changed two times or more by now. If you can not find the ground to frame from the engine which is a separate ground than the negative battery terminal to frame or block ground you can take a bolt loose from the engine (buy a battery terminal with both ends pre made with bolt holes) and drill a hole in frame and attach a new one. This may help.

No wanted to fix it myself. It starts and turns off what should I do. Is it 4th e fuel filter
