Noise

Asked by Brandon Jan 01, 2018 at 03:28 PM about the 2006 Audi A6 3.2 quattro Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car whines in cold temps and gradually less
whining upon continued use. Never in warmer
temps. It's not power steering or a bad belt.

1 Answer

Cold makes grease thick. As the car warms up the grease starts to flow and the noise stops.
