I had that happening in a 2006 Honda Civic. It was the engine rotation sensor which was damaged and got sensitive to the heat. Do you have one of those OBD port fuel injection readers? You can buy them pretty cheap online, plug it and check with your cell phone what's the error code that the injection is throwing.

Remove and clean the EGR and make sure it is not stuck. Clean the throttle body while you're at it with throttle body cleaner. DO NOT use carb cleaner.
