Service battery

Asked by savfelt Nov 26, 2019 at 11:55 AM about the 2012 Chevrolet Impala LTZ FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 impala. And the other day
driving home I had a message show up on my
dash that said “service battery charging
system” with the red battery light. I went and
got my battery tested and they said that my
battery and my alternator were good. So I
replaced 3 of my actuators because they had
been knocking even when the car was off so I
thought they were draining my battery. But
even after replacing them it still pops up. And
today I got “ battery saver active” pop up. I
don’t know what to do next

Theres a yoitube video on how to get that battery saver thing off its this guy with a black 07 impala

We had the same problem with a 2011 Impala. Check wiring harnesses around alternator and could be solution, it was mentioned in other article I’ve read on here. It was definitely our problem which has now been fixed!! Yay!!!

I'm having exactly this problem right now. I took it to a garage and they said everything was fine and they didn't have the same problem with it. I've read a few things on the internet as possibilities, like that the belt that turns the alternator has a pulley somewhere that's not working so it's not pulling.
