Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero GL and the air
conditioner recharge valve stem is too large for the
recharging kit. The standard kit doesn’t work and I
can’t find a replacement do you know what I can
do?

You need a R134a hose which is standard for any GM made beginning with the 1994 models. Hope that helps! Jim

You never hook up to the high side with refrigerant cans! The normal pressure in the system on that side is too much for the cans! The cans will blow apart!! Jim
